Covid 19 Pandemic Travel Insurance

Benefit Overview
Emergency Medical
UP TO A COMBINED MAXIMUM OF $5,000,000 CDN FOR:
– Emergency Medical coverage not related to Coronavirus (COVID-19)
– Emergency Medical coverage for COVID-19 and related complications provided the vaccine was received
– Up to $1,000,000 CDN for Emergency Medical coverage for COVID-19 and related complications if the vaccine was not received
Exception for cruise travel – If the vaccine was not received, Emergency Medical coverage is not provided for COVID-19 and related complications on a cruise or at any destination included in the cruise itinerary.
This exception for cruise travel does not apply to children 11 years old or younger who are not eligible to receive the vaccine, when travelling with at least one parent or guardian on the same cruise booking who has received the vaccine.
Quarantine Expenses: Coverage for expenses related to medical mandated quarantine is available.
Quarantine Benefits include:
- $200 /day up to $2,800 per person, or $400 /day up to $5,600 per family (Maximum duration of 14 days)

ACCESS TO MULTILINGUAL 24/7 TRAVEL ASSISTANCE FOR:
– Covered medical provider expenses including those of a hospital, physicians and nurses

– Arrangement of air ambulance services when necessary and arranged by the Assistance Centre

Premium Protection Plan
Benefit Overview
The Manulife Premium Protection Plan is designed for residents of Canada who:
a) are covered with a government health insurance plan for the policy duration;
b) are age 74 or younger (at the time of purchasing the policy);
c) are travelling for a maximum of 30 days inclusive of any extension (including the date you leave on your trip and including the date you return home);
d) are listed as Insured Person(s) on the confirmation of coverage and
e) purchased the plan within 72 hours of making a deposit or initial payment on the trip travel arrangements.
Coverage includes Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption, Travel Disruption, Emergency Medical, Baggage Loss, Damage and Delay and Travel Accident. These benefits provide coverage for ACCIDENTS, INJURIES, UNEXPECTED ILLNESSES AND OTHER UNFORESEEN EVENTS that occur during the policy period unless the event or situation causing your claim is specifically excluded in the section WHAT DOES THIS POLICY NOT COVER?
